New Halloween Fun at Disney California Adventure ParkAlready planning your Halloween adventures to Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure? You won’t want to miss these events that are new starting in 2017! With the popularity of Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Resort, the fun can now be found in Disney California Adventure Park. As an added bonus, Mickey’s Halloween Party guests will be able to visit both theme parks for three hours prior to the party launch in Disneyland park. Also, new this year, admission to Mickey’s Halloween Party will include complimentary Disney PhotoPass downloads.

Cars Land celebrates Halloween!

Guests will get into the Haul-O-Ween spirit in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park. Radiator Springs residents Lighting McQueen, Mater, Cruz, Red and DJ will be all dressed up to go “trunk-or-treating.” Attractions transform, too, with Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree turning spooky as the Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters getting a seasonal twist to become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 31, 2017, with spooky seasonal décor, themed food and beverage offerings and attractions that get a seasonal overlay for Halloween.

DĂa de los Muertos with Disney Pixar’s Coco

This fall and winter, guests at Disney California Adventure Park will discover a new seasonal experience that celebrates the everlasting bonds of family while drawing inspiration from the traditional Mexican holiday DĂa de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead.

From Sept. 15 through Nov. 2, this immersive celebration will include special entertainment featuring musicians and dancers, activities including a representation of iconic Mexican folk art, and special dĂ©cor and food inspired by this lively, colorful tradition.

The celebration at Disney California Adventure features the upcoming Disney•Pixar animated motion picture, “Coco,” with special themed experiences inspired by the film. Select elements of the celebration will move to “a bug’s land” beginning Sunday, Nov. 5, where they will be presented alongside a special sneak peek of the film, which continues through the holiday season until Jan. 7, 2018.

Guests who cruise into Cars Land between Sept. 15-Oct. 31, 2017, will find that Ramone, one of the citizens of Cars Land, also pays tribute to DĂa de los Muertos. Ramone celebrates this time when families gather to remember their loved ones with a full-sized Sugar Skull Car and a traditional â€śofrenda” display honoring the gone, but not forgotten, Doc Hudson.

Disneyland Park will continue to offer its traditional DĂa de los Muertos skeleton display in Frontierland, from Sept. 15-Nov. 2, 2017.

Carthay Circle Theatre

The Carthay Circle Theatre gets an Ooogie Boogie makeover.

These are exciting new features that I hope they start to do in Walt Disney World as well. It would be great to experience Halloween in other parks like Disney Hollywood Studios or even Epcot for some international fun. They could easily do the DĂa de los Muertos / Coco tie in in Mexico. Fingers crossed that we will see these new additions on the East coast one day.
